Privacy policy

This policy explains what Ambervostin, the operator of ambervostin.com, learns about you when you use the site and what we do with it. We collect very little. The site has no accounts, runs no analytics and keeps no record of how you play.
What we collect
- Whatever you type into the contact form, meaning the name, email address and message you give us.
- Two localStorage entries on your own device. amv_over18 remembers that you've confirmed you're 18 or over, and amv_notice remembers that you've closed the storage notice. Both stay in your browser and are never sent to us.
- Standard server logs kept by our hosting provider, such as IP address, browser type, the page requested and the time of the request. Hosting providers keep these to run and protect the service, and we don't use them to profile anyone.
What stays off the bench
There are no accounts, so there are no usernames and no passwords. We take no payments, so we hold no payment data. We don't collect ID documents. We never ask for any of these things, and if someone pretending to be us does ask, it isn't us.
The contact form
The contact form has three fields, for your name, your email and the message itself. We use them for one purpose, which is replying to you. Our legal basis is our legitimate interest in answering messages people choose to send us.
The form is processed by FormSubmit (formsubmit.co), which receives what you type and delivers it to our mailbox by email. FormSubmit handles that data under its own privacy terms while delivering it.
Messages are held for no more than 12 months, after which we delete them. We never sell them, never share them for marketing and never use them for advertising. If you'd like your message deleted sooner, email [email protected] from the same address, and we'll remove it.
The form travels over an encrypted connection, and our mailbox is used only for replying to visitors. Messages are read by the studio and nobody else.
Game frames
Each game page shows a demo slot from Play'n GO in a frame. The frame is loaded from Play'n GO's servers, and Play'n GO may set its own cookies or use its own storage inside it. Play'n GO may also process technical data, such as your IP address and details about your device, under its own privacy policy. We don't receive any of that data and can't see what happens inside the frame. Frames load only on the game pages, and only after you've confirmed your age.
No analytics and no advertising trackers
There's no analytics script on Ambervostin, no advertising tracker, no tracking pixel and no social media widget. We don't build profiles of visitors, and we have no way of knowing which stones you've picked up.
How long messages stay on file
Form messages are kept for up to 12 months, as described above. The two localStorage entries stay on your device until you clear them, and the "Reset age check" button in the footer clears the age entry at once. Server logs are kept by our hosting provider for its own operational period and then removed.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018 you have the right to ask what personal data we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, to restrict or object to how we use it, and to receive a copy of it in a portable form. To use any of these rights, write to [email protected], and we'll answer within the time the law allows.
Should you feel we've mishandled your data, you have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
Children
Ambervostin is not for anyone under 18. We don't knowingly collect personal data from under-age visitors. If you believe a young person has sent us a message, tell us and we'll delete it.
Reworking this policy
If what we collect ever changes, we'll update this page and the date near its beginning before the change takes effect.
